The Directors blend is sourced from a variety of countries to maintain a consistent flavour, this allows for the variations in the seasonal supply of tea.
The East India House Directors Blend Loose Leaf
A balanced fine black tea blend for every occasion, bright and full, enjoyable throughout the day, taken with milk or sugar to taste. The London Tea Auctions (1679 to 1998) were originally held at East India Company House. Tea was sold “by the candle” - as each lot was timed by the burning an inch of a candle, to prevent bidding for an unlimited length of time. Some tea did not make the auction, as the best teas were kept for the Company’s Directors and friends.
