In 1840 the first tea estate planted in Ceylon (modern day Sri Lanka), belonged to Chief Justice Sir Anthony Oliphant, who lived at Queen’s Cottage near Nuwara Eliya, a region recognised for producing exceptional Ceylon teas. This superb pure Ceylon tea is named after the man who had the vision to spread tea production to new and wonderful countries.
