Cannon ball Ceylon Green Tea: Hand rolled and produced on the Ebony Tea gardens in Sri Lanka.
These teas are all made from the tea plant known as TRI 2043 which has reddish purple leaves and a naturally silver coloured elongated apical bud with an abundance of pubescence.
Cannon Ball Green Tea
This is a large hand rolled Green tea is bigger than "Gun Powder tea" and called "Canon Ball tea". It is picked only from the silvery Leaves, with an abundance of tips and no stems. It has a delicate flavour with a hint of jasmine. The tea leaves are harvested at dawn and withered gently for 12 - 15 hours. This process produces a tea high in anti-oxidants a process similar to the Wulong Teas in China, these teas are characterised by their minimum of fermentation.
