The East India House Directors Green Blend Bags

Fine chinese green tea in bags, for drinking throughout the day, a medium bodied green tea. The London Tea Auctions (1679 to 1998) were originally held at East India Company House, with Green tea seen as having health benefits as it is today. Tea was sold by the candle - as each lot was timed by the burning an inch of a candle, to prevent bidding for an unlimited time. Not every Green tea made the auction, as some of the best China teas were kept back for the Company’s Directors and friends.
