The East India Company Directors Green Tea

A balanced fine green tea blend for every occasion, bright and full, enjoyable throughout the day. The London Tea Auctions (1679 to 1998) were originally held at East India Company House. Green Tea was sold “by the candle” - as each lot was timed by the burning an inch of a candle, to prevent bidding for an unlimited length of time. Some tea did not make the auction, as the best teas were kept for the Company’s Directors and friends.
