The Prince Sultan's Gunpowder and Mint Bags
A combination of special Chinese green gunpowder tea bags with natural mint leaves. The East India Company established trading relationships with the Persian empire in 1622, when it helped Shah Abbas II expel the Portuguese from the Straits of Hormuz. In doing so The Company brought many Persian customs to the West, including using mint to enhance the flavour of tea. Gunpowder tea gets its name from the practice of rolling green tea leaves into balls, similar to gunpowder pellets to preserve their flavour on long voyages.
