Peach & Armagnac Jam
Peach & Armagnac Jam combine fine continental flavours to make a luxurious and indulgent preserve. Sugar preserves of various fruits were termed ‘jam’ in the 17th and 18th centuries. Fruits and sugar were boiled together and sealed to give a long-keeping preserve. Jams were used on The East India Company voyages as they contained Vitamin C, which was known to prevent scurvy.
